Welcome to Overeaters Anonymous Adelaide.
Overeaters Anonymous started in California, USA in January 1960. The first OA meeting was held in Adelaide in the Early 1980’s. Over the years more meetings have been set up throughout Adelaide. Currently there are six meetings in Adelaide each week. Meetings are held on Sunday, Monday and Thursday evenings and on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday mornings.
If your relationship with food is causing you pain- whether it’s binging, overeating, purging or starving, OA can help. Members come from all walks of life, are all shapes, sizes, ages and both genders. What we have in common is a desire to stop eating compulsively. Many of us have lost the desire to eat compulsively and are living lives we never dreamed possible.
There is no need to suffer alone, we urge you to attend a meeting where you will be warmly welcomed.
It is recommended that you attend six meetings before deciding if OA is for you. OA’s tradition of anonymity ensures your privacy will always be protected.
We look forward to welcoming you at a meeting soon.
